Our priority is to offer treatment to everyone, instead of only to those who can afford it.
Clinical massage is a soft tissue therapy treatment with an ultimate focus being a long term functional outcome. There is evidence based reasons why the treatment is performed whilst ensuring the patient is relaxed has a general sense of well-being following their massage.
Many of the massage techniques are the same as a sports massage, but they are tailored to be specific for everyone. This includes a combination of the following deep tissue, soft tissue release, myofascial release, trigger point and stretching. The overall aim is relaxation, and the massage does not have to be painful to be effective. People often describe a ‘good pain’ as they feel it is addressing their problem. Clinical massage is performed slowly and is very thorough with the therapist specifically listening to the body. The cause of pain is not always located where the pain is felt and other parts of the body may also require treatment where the therapist works harder to help a dysfunction, but this will be explained in depth to you. Following a clinical massage treatment, you will be provided after care with exercise and advice. The therapist will discuss lifestyle issues if appropriate or teach exercises or provide you with postural advice to ensure you are fully involved and in control of your recovery.
Everyone. Our bodies are the most important resource and need to be looked after. Clinical massage will focus on a specific problem, but we aim to treat the whole person for an increased sense of well-being. Anyone with a soft tissue injury, someone who simply requires a reduction in stress and tension where that be due to personal circumstances or prolonged sitting postures at work or driving, clinical massage can help. Clinical massage can help with headaches and help people with long term medical conditions: Osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and depression through maintenance to help control the conditions. If we feel you would benefit from another health professional, Pilates or personal training then we will ensure we help in a referral program to work alongside them to combine the treatment package to ensure you receive the most effective care. We quite often work alongside chiropractors to ensure both bones and muscles get the same amount of attention for whole body maintenance.
We would also advise you if we felt clinical massage was not appropriate treatment and help refer you to the appropriate medical professional. If you are not sure what you need to help you, as a qualified physiotherapist, you can be assessed and pointed in the right direction. Please feel free to call anytime to discuss injuries or whether clinical massage would be suitable for you. We are always happy to help and provide advice when possible.

For years I’ve been experiencing back pain and have various problems. By the time I contacted Tracey my back was a mess. I was very nervous about anyone touching my back but Tracey was fantastic and applied the pressure that I was most comfortable with. We are now at a point of maintenance but to be honest I enjoy the benefits so much the appointments can’t come quick enough!

I over did it Saturday and could barely walk. Lucky for me, Tracey fitted me in for an appointment the following day and sorted me out. I can’t recommend her highly enough. I’ve got a chronic condition and without this therapy life would be much more of a daily struggle.

Cannot recommend enough Tracey for deep tissue sports massage treatments. Running & gym friends keep her in mind! With my running challenges & gym sessions I’m glad I have someone to help me recover quicker, get rid of tight tension & tired legs! Tough hour session this morning! But looking forward to seeing the new premises in a couple of weeks.

I was advised to have some sessions with Tracey by my Physiotherapist who had been treating me for severe back pain for some time. I knew after the first session that this was what I so desperately needed. Tracey quickly identified the areas that were causing me most pain and treatments began in earnest. One of the best things about her treatment is that she is not afraid to put plenty of pressure into specific areas and I am sure this is the key to her success with me. I am not a young woman and not particularly sporty but I do like to stay fit and with Tracey’s help, I am now feeling more flexible and well advised about different exercises that will help me. Tracey always explains about each area she works on. I would advise anyone, young, old, sporty or not to contact Tracey if they have any problems.

I had my first massage treatment with Tracey last week, and would like you to pass on my Big Thanks! I have been struggling with a shoulder laxity problem ( related to Hypermobility Syndrome ) for over a year, and the time Tracey spent freeing the shoulder ( which has lessened the pinching of the nerve ) has given me hope that I can continue sailing and , in time take up my violin again. Please pass on how grateful I am to have had a week of pain free night’s sleep – I feel human again – even went sailing in The Solent at the weekend, so far my arm still moves!

Having been treated by Tracey regularly over a number of seasons at Worcester Warriors, I can say with confidence that Tracey is highly professional and the quality of her sports massage is excellent. I have found regular treatment with Tracey to be hugely beneficial for both recovery and more acute problems.
